Mozambique has a surface area of 801,537km2 of which an impressive 131,367km2 is made up of conservation areas which represents 16,38% of its land.

These protected areas include 6 National Parks;

  • Bazaruto National Park
  • Gorongosa National Park
  • Limpopo National Park
  • Quirimbas National Park
  • Zinave National Park

Mozambique has an ecologically rich and diverse wildlife. The country has 232 species of mammals and 740 species of bird.
